Design analysis of a reciprocating gas expansion machine working in control modes
Annotation
The work of a reciprocating CH4 expansion machine is analysed in various control modes. A multiple-row piston expander chosen for investigation was designed on a 3-row vertical base. The proposed control technique shows that the expander’s performance may be changed within a broad scope of mode parameters while the final temperature remains constant at the level of ≈133.37 K. This engineering solution is also distinguished for its simple design.
