Increasing the energy efficiency of air conditioning systems taking into account the factor of real warmth index
Annotation
Based on the analysis of the surveys among the inhabitants of residential premises in various climatic regions, it was established that the warmth index in rooms of various comfort classes varies slightly due to the adaptive mechanisms of the body. Ranges of air temperature in the rooms of various comfort classes for characteristic indicators of metabolism and thermal insulation of clothing have been determined. A calculation has been made to reduce energy consumption when changing the settings of the thermal control system from a high comfort class to a lower one for the conditions of different climatic zones. It has been established that when moving from class A to class C, the greatest energy savings are achieved without compromising the thermal comfort of people in the room. In cold climates, maximum energy saving comes from cost-effectiveness of heating an indoor air. In hot climates, maximum energy saving comes from cost-effectiveness of indoor air cooling.
