Thermodynamic analysis of heat exchangers within an energy conversion system by the entropy-cycle method
Annotation
The article presents thermodynamic analysis of a refrigerating machine’s cycle using the entropy-cycle model. Internal and external irreversible losses have been identified in the condensation and evaporation processes with due regard to the design features of heat exchangers. Quantitative assessment was made to find out the combined effect of internal and external losses in a heat exchanger on the cycle’s energy efficiency.
