Electrolytic water-propyleneglycol coolant as an alternative to "icy water"
Annotation
The feasibility of using coolants, in particular water-propyleneglycols as an alternative to "icy water"is considered in dairies. Water-propyleneglycol electrolytic coolant is shown to be most efficient one. Its efficiency is attained due to lower viscosity and cost when compared with coolants which contain no electrolyte, as well as due to more than 1.5 times greater temperature drop at the cold end of the milk cooler.
