Energy efficient technologies of natural gas liquefaction
Annotation
Current geopolitical situation shows that it’s necessary to make quick changes in natural gas export trade structure by means of liquid natural gas segment growth in total sales. In 2013 the export trade volume of liquid natural gas (LNG) segment was only 8% when LNG segment in global trade was over 30% at the same time. It’s important to build up LNG facilities with large capacity to meet these challenges. This kind of facilities is difficult to create because of absence of domestic technologies and equipment. Existing facilities and facilities under construction use import technologies and equipment. It is costly and limits an access of Russian enterprises to European technologies. Meeting these challenges requires a technological decision that can be realized at the current level of low temperature technique in Russian Federation. It can be based on an analysis of foreign solutions in LNG production.
