Organizing the Information Interaction between Heterogeneous Automated Systems: an Ontological Approach
Annotation
A new approach to organizing information interaction of heterogeneous automated systems based on using ontologies is considered. A formal description of ontologies is given. Results of applying the ontological approach to solve the task of integrating heterogeneous databases are discussed. A hybrid technique for interaction of ontologies is suggested.
