Selection of salt additives for the increase of absorption heat transformers efficiency
Annotation
It is shown that salt additives selection for NH3–H2O system requires consideration of saturated vapor pressure above the solution, not only water content in the vapor phase. For example, the additive of NН4NО3or (NН4)2ЅО4ammonium salts decreases water content in vapor phase, however, the vapor pressure above the solution increases with the salt content. Additives that decrease saturated vapor pressure and, consequently, intensify the absorption process are the most efficient additives for absorption heat transformers. We study the impact of joint salt additives ((NН4)2ЅО4and ZnSО4)in NH3–H2O at saturated vapor pressure above the solution. The decrease in the total vapor pressure above NH3–H2O–(NН4)2ЅО4–ZnSО4solution and the decrease of water content in the vapor phase is demonstrated. Also, (NН4)2ЅО4and ZnSО4salts reduce corrosion of metals by the decrease of the solution pH. The results indicate the possibility of using NH3–H2O–(NН4)2ЅО4–ZnSО4 system in absorption heat transformers.
