Annotation
The article describes state of the art and prospects for refrigerating compressor industry. Both Russian and world market are analyzed and compared in terms of the enterprises in the industry and their production. The most sought-after technologies of volumetric compression are identified and the statistics if the refrigerating compressor market is shown. Both volumes of refrigerating compressor production and their consumption by various sectors of the industry are considered. The state of the art and the prospects of the market are analyzed in details taking into account recent economic and political events, which are sure to have influenced compressor industry greatly. Special attention is paid to the issues of Russian market and import substitution. For each kind of the technologies presented in the article, the most profitable areas of application are considered in details. Current state of the compressor industry and the changes of its market demands are evaluated. Future prospects of the market both in the Russian Federation and abroad are predicted.
