Hardware implementation of a method for processing phase-shift-keyed and frequency-shift-keyed signals based on two-stage nonlinear digital filtering is presented. The first stage is an informationally optimal linear filter with complex coefficients, the second is a quadratic filter based on the Capon minimum-variance method.
