The basic approaches to computational modeling of airflow in the human nasal cavity are analyzed. Different models of turbulent flow which may be used in order to calculate air velocity and pressure are discussed. Experimental measurement results of airflow temperature are illustrated. Geometrical model of human nasal cavity reconstructed from computer-aided tomography scans and numerical simulation results of airflow inside this model are also given. Spatial distributions of velocity and temperature for inhaled and exhaled air are shown.
