Ultrasonic modulation of Propionibacterium freudenreichii subsp. shermanii metabolic activity in production of enriched by B12 vitamin food products
Annotation
B12 vitamin is one of the most important bioactive compounds participating in many processes of a human body. In modern living conditions its deficiency is often observed and because of that introduction in a diet of the special enriched products is necessary. However its synthesis is very complex and now it is one of the most expensive vitamins. This article discusses modulation of a metabolism of the main industrial producer of B12 vitamin Propionibacterium shermanii by ultrasound for the purpose to increase efficiency of biotechnological process of its production.
