Annotation
An oscillation mode is discussed in the gap between the stator and the rotor of an aerostatic bearing when underexpanded supersonic jets from the nozzles of a feeding system are interacting with the rotor’s surface. Presented here are the results of the research on oscillation modes, their origins, mechanisms and frequency response characteristics of pressure pulsations in the working medium feeding system and the lubricant film on a gas bearing.
