World tendencies and priorities in development of low-temperature engineering
Annotation
Under discussion is the effect of major refrigerants on the ozone layer (ODP) and on the climate change (GWP – global-warming potential). The basic task on the inter-country level is to choose a refrigerant with low GWP. Numerous research and development projects on refrigerants with very low GWP are underway. The plan is to make transition to more efficient equipment and novel technologies. Alternative solutions are offered in industrial strategies, power efficiency and environmental safety.
