Economic and ecological aspects of the use of geothermal heat pumps

Annotation

Rational use of energy resources is one of the global problems today and for the successful solution of it, apparently, will be crucial value not only for the further development of the world community, but also to preserve its habitat. One of the perspective solutions of this problem is using new energy-saving technologies, using renewable energy sources. The article describes the principle of operation of the geothermal heat pump, its features and benefits. Usually, geothermal heat pumps are used for heating in the cottage building. This article describes the economic aspects of the use of geothermal heat pump systems in the construction of a large business center area of 22,000 m2. The payback period is considered in the complex for heating during the winter season and air conditioning in summer season. Geothermal heating and cooling systems are considered from different points of bivalence. In the article are presented diagrams cost of equipment and materials, annual energy consumption, cost of connecting to the network and operating costs when using geothermal heat pump in comparison to heating systems based on electric boilers. Calculations proved that the payback period of the heating system with a geothermal heat pump compared with the traditional system is 10.8 years, or 7.5 years, depending on the mode selected bivalence.
