Technology of multi-scale digital elevation model collections
Annotation
Modern problems require creation of DEM of substantial volume for extended territories or for the whole Earth’s surface, implemented simultaneously for several scales and compiled in data bases for fast access. The same territories may require integration of several interpolation techniques, consideration of presence of water drain surfaces, and simultaneously town and natural landscapes. To meet such requirements a realized approach to create program system is proposed, which is created as a superstructure over fully functional geo information system ArcGIS. The system makes it possible to tune in pliantly via developed parameterization to solve various requirements for creation of DEM.
