Annotation
The article discusses the dimensionless parameter for comparison of the experimental results of observed refrigeration processes/phenomena and simulated data. The proposed metric is able to determine a priori, before conducting experiments or computer simulations, the concordance between the selected physical-mathematical model of heat- and mass-transfer processes and the required accuracy of field experiments. The article is of interest to scientists and designers. Examples of application of original method for thermal energy storage systems and the crystallization process of the minced-shaped product, frozen on a moving chilled cylindrical wall, are provided.
