The process of watery solutions absorption by the acrylic polymer films and its quantitative description is investigated. Swelling dynamics of obtained hydrogels is described on the basis of Hurst exponents images and fractal dimension at different swelling phases. Ionized networks of copolymers of acrylic acid, N,N’- methylenebisacrylamide, were prepared by free-radical polymerization in water in the form of thin porous films. The dynamics of the pores filling is quantitatively described on the basis of the Hurst exponents and fractal dimensions by means of ellipsometry.
