The use of sorbent-based dehumidifiers in air-conditioning systems
Annotation
The article discusses one of the reasons of power overconsumption by air-conditioning systems due to the concurrent presence of contradicting air-processing techniques. The factors affecting the amount of such overconsumption are shown, and the consequences of their effect are assessed. An adsorption dehumidifier is suggested to preclude such conflicting processes, and its operation modes are reviewed. A flow chart is presented to generalize the technique of assessing the feasibility of its use in air-conditioning systems.
