Calculating bit and symbol error rates in a communication channel for signal processing trellis modulation under the DVB-S2 standard
Annotation
The article reviews the signal sequences used within the DVB-S2 standard. A technique for the calculation of the minimum Euclidian distance for amplitude- phase modulated (АРМ) signals is presented. Mathematical calculations are presented of bit and symbol error rates for a fixed parameters communication channel with an additive Gaussian noise at coherent reception of 8-PM and 16-APM hierarchical signals.
