Annotation
During transportation of perishable goods in refrigerated containers from the sender to the recipient different emergencies, leading to transported cargo quality loss, can take place. Such situations result in negative economic consequences for transportation process participants. The paper presents definition of risks associated with the transportation of refrigerated containers, and possible risk management strategies. The analysis of the risk factors affecting perishable goods quality loss during sea and land transportation showed that their reasons are: problems in a refrigerated container (defects in its refrigerating unitor cask body); and improper maintenance of the container and goods during transportation, human error being among them. The risk analysis approach of container transport chain using the FSA method is offered. The approach provides getting detailed information including risk probability and its possible consequences.
