The Essence and Forms of Hostile Takeovers
Annotation
The development ofmarket relations in Russia followed by the emergence of a large number of organizations with various legal forms has introduced the concept of a "hostile takeover" of companies in all of its aspects. A hostiletakeoverisbyfartheobjectiverealityofentrepreneurship. Havingrecently become widely spread in almost all of its fields, it causes damage to legal entities, the state and society as a whole, by threatening the economic security of Russia. It should be noted, however, that no concept of a hostile takeover of companies is provided for in the current Criminal Code of Russia, which has resulted in a contradictory situation: the term does not exist, while in real life corporate blackmail and takeovers are becoming of increasing importance.
